The Humanities and Social Sciences Division is the largest of the instructional organizations at Mt. SAC. Its academic programs offer students general education courses in Art History, Communication, Geography, History, Journalism, Language Arts (American Sign Language, American Language, English, and World Languages), Literature, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology. This division also houses the Forensics Team, the Honors program, and the Teacher Prep Institute.  Along with its academic programs, the Humanities Division also provides a number of student resources and technology to help students succeed, such as tutoring, the Writing Center, and the Speech & Sign Success Center.  We invite you to explore our course offerings as well as our academic programs.
